Global Sponsors

Our Main Sponsors provide important support for our Festival program. Their donations fund the realization of our Festival productions directly. We are profoundly grateful to them.

Nestlé, our most faithful sponsor (since 1991), has financed tickets for young audience members from the very beginning. In 2010, Nestlé also created the Nestlé and Salzburg Festival Young Conductors Award.

Audi, main sponsor since 1995, had the unique idea of inviting one Festival production every season to Ingolstadt, its business headquarters. Thus, people who cannot come to Salzburg have the opportunity to experience the quality of the Festival performances.

Siemens, main sponsor of the Salzburg Festival since 1999, enables us to open the Festival to a broader audience with the Siemens Festival Nights on Kapitelplatz.

Rolex has been a main sponsor since 2012, allowing the Salzburg Whitsun Festival to make a brilliant new start with Cecilia Bartoli and supports the Festival’s presence all over the world.

If you are interested in supporting the Salzburg Festival or would like to receive the detailed program of sponsor benefits as well as the projects to be sponsored, please let us know and we will be happy to send you further information. Of course, we are available personally, should you have questions or enquiries, and can help you design a sponsoring package tailored to your wishes and needs.

“Aren’t you afraid that the sponsors will try to influence your program?” is a common question in the arts sections of various newspapers, especially since we have been so successful in acquiring sponsors. And I can always answer both spontaneously and honestly: No, I am not afraid of that. Our sponsors are far too intelligent not to know that trying to influence the content of our program would have a boomerang effect. On the contrary, I hope our sponsors continue to influence us, in the sense that they make it possible to implement projects that we could not realize otherwise for lack of money. Therefore, on behalf of the Festival, I would very much like to thank our sponsors, donors, supporters and friends as well as the public authorities subsidizing the Festival for their generous support.
