Olga Rudyk*

Ukrainian soprano Olga Rudyk was born in Vinnytsia in 1993 and was 15 when she received her first singing lessons. In 2012 she enrolled at the Ukrainian National Peter Tchaikovsky Academy of Music in Kiev, where she completed her studies with a Master’s degree. As part of her studies she sang Tatyana (Eugene Onegin), Laura (Iolanta) and Oxana in Semyon Gulak-Artemovsky’s A Zaporozhian Beyond the Danube at the Opera Studio of the National Tchaikovsky Academy of Music.

As a concert singer, too, Olga Rudyk has gained considerable experience and in recent years has performed works by Verdi, Mozart, Rachmaninoff and others. In 2016 she attended a masterclass with Marcello Lippi and in 2017 she was a finalist in the Neue Stimmen Singing Competition.

As a participant in the 2018 Salzburg Festival Young Singers Project Olga Rudyk will be one of the soloists at the Young Conductors Award Concert Weekend.
