Daniel Rakasz

Daniel Rakasz began his international career in the Budapest production of Dance of the Vampires and also appeared in the German and Viennese productions of this musical. This was followed by the lead role of Johnny Castle in Dirty Dancing at the Potsdamer Platz Theatre in Berlin and at the Metronom Theatre in Oberhausen. Daniel Rakasz spent half a year in the USA. After three months in New York, he performed at the Cortland Repertory Theatre in New York State, appearing as Harry in Chicago and Issachar in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. A highlight of his career so far was the acclaimed Viennese production of Legally Blonde, in which he played the UPS messenger Kyle. In 2014 Daniel Rakasz appeared in the lead role of Danny Zuko in Grease on tour. He was most recently a member of the Berlin cast of the new version of Udo Jürgens’s Ich war noch niemals in New York, both as a member of the ensemble and as the Captain, the Steward and Costa. He is currently appearing as William Wilberforce in the gospel musical Amazing Grace.
