ABOUT THE PRODUCTION
Carl Theodor Dreyer’s silent film about the French national heroine Joan of Arc (1412–1431) is considered a masterpiece of cinematic art. The Orlando Consort has been inspired by Dreyer’s cinematic vision and will be accompanying the film with spiritual vocal music dating from the period around 1400, written by composers such as Guillaume Dufay, Gilles Binchois, Richard Loqueville, Estienne Grossin and Guillaume Legrant.
