ABOUT THE PRODUCTION
Thomas Bernhard was born in Holland but both sides of his family came from the countryside around Salzburg. His grandfather, one of the most influential people in Bernhard’s life, was the well-known local poet Johannes Freumbichler. As part of Salzburg 20.16 we will not only present Der Ignorant und der Wahnsinnige (The Fool and the Madman) but also this Bernhard reading.
