SERIES "Nestlé and Salzburg Festival Young Conductors Award"

Nestlé and Salzburg Festival Young Conductors Award

The ‘Nestlé and Salzburg Festival Young Conductors Award’ is an initiative of Nestlé and the Salzburg Festival. In the festival season 2015, this award – endowed with € 15,000 – will be granted to a young conductor for the sixth time.
The jury has selected three final candidates among all the applicants; these will receive the opportunity to conduct concerts with the Salzburg Camerata on August 8, 9 and 10, 2015 as part of the Salzburg Festival.
The winner will then be selected by the jury and announced to the audience. In its deliberations, the jury will pay special attention to the interpretation of contemporary works – next to the Classical and Romantic repertoire.

After the third concert, the jury will identify and announce the Nestlé and Salzburg Festival Young Conductors Award winner to the public.
