together with young brass talents of Salzburg and the South Tyrol

ABOUT THE PRODUCTION

For the ninth time, the Salzburg Festival hosts a special appearance of members of the Vienna Philharmonic together with young talented wind and brass musicians. This year, young musicians from Salzburg and Southern Tyrol are showcased together with members of the Vienna Philharmonic under the baton of Karl Jeitler at the Felsenreitschule. The special feature of this project is that is introduces the young musicians to opera literature and composers – a genre often ignored by today’s wind and brass music scene. The project is a cooperation between the Salzburg Festival, the Vienna Philharmonic and the Salzburg State Association of Wind Bands; it is supported by the South Tyrol Association of Wind Bands, the Autonom Province of Bolzena, the Region Trentino-South Tyrol, the Foundation Sparkasse of South Tyrol as well as the State of Salzburg,
