The performers are third and fourth year acting students at the Mozarteum University Salzburg, Department of Drama and Stage Direction.
Like his Festival productions, Max Reinhard’s rococo palace Leopoldskron became one large theatrical production. Between pavilions and under ancient trees, a traditional picnic awaits the guests at this event, followed by Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream. Short Cuts, presented by acting students of the Mozarteum University Salzburg. When dusk falls, Reinhardt’s famous Hollywood film of A Midsummer Night’s Dream of 1935 will be screened in its original version by the side of the pond. Just like last year, the picnic is included in the ticket price. Parking spots will be available near Leopoldskron Palace; shuttle busses will start from Reichenhaller Strasse (departure at 6:30 pm). We recommend closed shoes and bringing warm clothes for the evening hours.
A co-production of the Salzburg Festival and Mozarteum University Salzburg.
In cooperation with the Salzburg Global Seminar.
The evening is supported by Do & Co and the Kunstgärtnerei Doll.
